It started with a pair of dungarees - French cotton dungarees with red cherries printed on them, bought in a charity shop for £2.50!! I bought them for my baby daughter and then discovered she had nothing she could wear with them - eveything she owned was either pastel pink, lilac or white. So, I made my own ensembles to put her in - red vest and tights, green vest and socks, yellow vest and socks. That was the start of the Rainbow Effect!

Our aim is to give mums and dads something funky and colourful without logos or silly slogans that have matching accessories, socks tights, muslins, those frilly pants you get for baby girls! Quality cotton wear to mix and match with all sorts of outfits, that add a splash of colour and make you smile. And let's face it, babies and kids love bright colours otherwise why would toy manufacturers make brightly coloured toys - bright colours stimulate developing minds.
