The rainbow effect is me, Jean Donaldson, professional photographer based in Greenock, Scotland and part of Powan Ltd. I produce high-quality documentary, wedding and event images, working closely with a diverse range of clients including Kilfinan Community Forest’s ‘Growing Green’ project, the Tree Shop Garden Centre, the Glasgow Women's Library, the Burgh Hall Dunoon and the Dunans Castle restoration project. Providing beautiful images for websites, social and print media, my work has enabled organisations to build up comprehensive archive resources. I have vast experience in working in diverse, often challenging locations, working tirelessly to consolidate technical expertise with artistic practice. As someone who cannot paint or draw for toffee, the ability to 'visualise' the image and see it produced in photographic form is one I delight in; it causes me no end of excitement. I run children's workshops, encouraging and enabling kids and adults of all ages to explore the world of photography and film, learning the creative processes that go on behind the camera, as well as having a lot of fun! For information on these sessions please pop over to the Workshop page or contact me directly or by emailing powanmedia@gmail.com. I am available for weddings, family events, portrait and product services; I love the challenge of capturing the excitement and exuberance of Wedding Days or family shoots with 'free range children'. I have my own range of beautiful cards and prints portraying the astonishing and beautiful environments I have lived in as well as images from further afield. To find out more about costs and availability, please don't hesitate to contact me.
